Karl and Paul are both curious over Darcy doing business with Dr Anthony Halsworth. Darcy meets up with Tess and hopes that she may agree to start afresh with him away from Erinsborough. Karl spots them together and manages to secure a quiet word with Tess. He's suspicious when Tess mentions the mix-up with the café on the day that Amanda died.
Darcy is unsettled when he sees Karl and Tess talking. Fearing that Karl is onto him, Darcy injects him with a mysterious substance that paralyses him.
Meanwhile, Sadie is shocked to learn that Byron is planning to challenge Amanda's will – a decision that Nicolette supports but Jane doesn't. Jane urges Byron to think about his relationship with Sadie, but he remains bitter over the break-up and insists that he loved Sadie more than she loved him.
