Paul is left upset by Terese's tough ultimatum. Following encouragement from Leo, a struggling Paul chooses Terese and apologises for his hesitation. He promises to finally put Chelsea and Thomas in the past – and takes steps towards this when he withdraws his offer to invest in Chelsea's business.
Paul warns Chelsea that she can't be in his life anymore. Chelsea responds by reminding Paul that he knew he wasn't Thomas's father days before everyone else found out, but it's unclear what she'll do with this incriminating information.
Later, Chelsea warns Terese that Paul's need to fill the void left behind by David's death is still unresolved. Terese dismisses this and invites Paul to move into her house on Ramsay Street.
