Neighbours' Shane Ramsay shares his dark fears for his son Max as he returns to Erinsborough next week.
Shane heads back to Ramsay Street amid rising concerns that Max could have been harmed by the dangerous gangster Carter Haddon.
Viewers recently saw Carter arrange for Sadie Rodwell to be kidnapped from the Back Lane Bar.
Carter then used Sadie's situation as leverage against Max, ordering the terrified mechanic to come with him if he wanted his friend to be returned safely.

Since Max went with Carter, his friends have been receiving messages seemingly from him. The texts have claimed that Max is taking time away and nobody needs to worry.
This week's episodes see the situation begin to change, as Holly Hoyland and Roxy Willis realise that the texts from Max aren't in his usual style. They're disturbed to realise that somebody could be impersonating him.
In follow-on scenes next week, Shane returns to Ramsay Street after being alerted to the worrying situation. Peter O'Brien has reprised the role of Shane for another guest stint.
Shane is keen to investigate Max's whereabouts and he wastes no time before confronting police sergeant Andrew Rodwell.

Andrew becomes annoyed when Shane accuses him of not caring about the situation, and he fires back against the harsh criticism.
Shane later turns to his old friend Jane Harris, admitting that he has a terrible feeling about Max's disappearance.
Meanwhile, Roxy is excited when her friend Lachie pays a surprise visit to Erinsborough. She's unaware that Lachie was lurking suspiciously at the Back Lane Bar when Sadie was abducted recently.

Roxy realises that Lachie has the wrong idea over their relationship, so she takes some advice from her aunt Terese and decides to tell Lachie that she's a married woman.
Lachie takes the rejection well, but promises to stay in town for a while longer.
Roxy is unaware that Lachie is only sticking around in hopes that she'll lead him and Carter to Max, just as she did last time. But if Carter is hunting for Max again, does this mean that he has managed to escape? All will be revealed soon...
