Vic continues trying to put right his past wrongdoing. He apologises sincerely to Leo for backing out of the deal to buy into the vineyard, but receives no absolution.
Next he tries reaching out to Jane again, hopeful she might understand the emotional overload he was experiencing upon learning that his death was no longer imminent – but she remains completely mistrustful.
Vic tells Byron that he wants to give him and Nicolette $100,000 as recompense for the larger amount he promised them and then couldn't deliver on – but Byron doesn't want it – he doesn't want to let Vic salvage his conscience, nor does he want to rely on another promise which will likely be broken.

Vic tries a heartfelt plea which unexpectedly softens Byron the tiniest degree. But later when Vic approaches Nicolette, expecting that out of everyone she will be the most open towards him, he suffers his biggest setback.
Nicolette is offended at being last on his apology tour, feeling like he's taken her for granted, and can't understand the ease with which he left her last time given her own current pain at being separated from Isla for even short periods. She's not letting Vic off the hook for his selfishness anymore and wishes he'd just leave town.
Meanwhile, Paul approaches Susan to confess his intention of taking a step back from Terese and to beg for her assistance in making sure Terese is okay. Karl is wary of his agenda, but Susan assures she will be there for her friend.
Much as it pains him, Paul begins to deflect Terese's attempts to spend time with him and lets a string of her text messages go unanswered. Terese immediately feels the sting of the rejection, although she tries to keep up a strong façade.
Susan tactfully suggests a diversion – going out for brunch – and while initially Terese is too focused on Paul to accept, later she conceives a way to use it to her advantage.
Elsewhere, Aaron is practicing an array of dance moves for the boylesque show when he suddenly falls down clutching his hamstring. At first he hides the injury from everyone, claiming he's just stubbed his toe. He knows boylesque will fall apart without him and he doesn't want to let everyone down.
Later, Byron sees through his cover story and Aaron is forced to admit the troubling truth – this will probably take a long tme to recover from. Byron tells Aaron they can make his solo routine into a duet and he will do all the difficult dance moves – he's not going to let them fail.
