After receiving an anonymous text asking for Heath's money, Holly's joy of buying her dream car quickly turns to panic. As she pieces together that it's Justin – Heath's ex-bodyguard – she decides the only thing to do is to give him the remaining money to get rid of him. But when Karl and Susan give the garden a clean-up, they unwittingly throw out the potting mix containing the money.
Holly is now in a confronting predicament as she tries to work out how to come up with the money, and fast.
Meanwhile, Toadie, Nell and Hugo are officially saying farewell to Erinsborough. While Toadie is helping the Kennedys get the house ready for his goodbye party, he makes a point of saying he doesn't need much, and it's not like he's going far. But Susan points out this goodbye is as much for them as it is for him. She says that endings are as important as new beginnings.

Inspired by her words, Toadie speaks to Melanie, to make sure they're in a good place before he leaves. She's extremely supportive and encourages Toadie to forgive himself over his life choices. He reflects that he wishes he could speak to Terese the way he's speaking to Melanie, because she won't even see him.
At the hospital, Susan finds a distraught Terese, who has realised Toadie will be leaving on their one-year wedding anniversary. Susan realises the extent of her pain when Terese reveals she's glad Toadie's leaving and she never wants to see him again.
Elsewhere, JJ is looking forward to his last big date with Nell, trying to come up with something fun for them to do. His mums encourage him to keep it simple and just spend time with Nell. Before he heads off on their date, he drops off some supplies to Eirini, accidentally bumping into Felix, who is there collecting unwanted furniture. It's a moment of shock that throws both JJ and Felix.
Later, Felix goes to Remi to apologise, hating that his cross with JJ might've caused upset. After seeing Felix's level of concern first hand, Remi softens. But when she passes on her perspective to Cara, Cara is unimpressed. She insists that Felix is not to be trusted, ever…
