Neighbours has shared the official details of how Toadie Rebecchi and Melanie Pearson's dangerous new storyline twist begins.
The former couple are about to take centre stage in a high-stakes kidnap plot, which will play out as part of the soap's 'Death in the Outback' week.
Last week, a tense trailer showed Toadie and Melanie being held captive in the dramatic set of episodes.
It's now been revealed that Toadie and Melanie find themselves in trouble after teaming up to investigate suspicious newcomer Heath Royce.

The pair end up at the house that Heath shares with his colleague and lover Tess Carmichael. They boldly let themselves inside when nobody seems to be home.

As Toadie and Melanie snoop around the place, they find Tess and Heath's fake passports and damning evidence of their ongoing embezzlement scheme.
Just as Toadie and Melanie consider their next move, they're interrupted by Tess and Heath's fearsome accomplice Justin.
The next morning, Toadie's wife Terese Willis is frantic with worry as he didn't come home the night before. She seeks out support from the Kennedys, who confirm that Melanie is also missing.
Will Terese suspect that Toadie and Melanie are betraying her again – or will she realise that there's a more sinister explanation? And with one character confirmed to die by the end of the week, will they ever be seen again?
