Former Neighbours star Takaya Honda has announced the happy news that he and wife Amy are expecting a baby together.
The David Tanaka actor candidly opened up about the "long journey" in conceiving a baby over the past few years, admitting it has been full of "hoping and waiting".
Taking to his Instagram page, Takaya posted a series of pictures alongside Amy and their dog, holding up a baby outfit saying: "And then there were four."

"We've been waiting for this news for a long time, it's been years of hoping and waiting," the star began the emotional post.
"Years of frustration being told that we were both healthy and fine. Years of frustration being told 'you just need to relax and it will happen'. Sometimes it's not up to us, sometimes it's out of our control and the universe has different plans.

"Maybe it was to teach us patience or maybe to teach us that some things will never be in our control and that's okay because things will happen when they are divinely ready.
"It's been a long journey to get here and although there were times when we felt things were never going to work, we never gave up."

Takaya went on to admit it is "impossible to really communicate what the last few years have been like", notably the last year which has been "filled with so much hope then despair, belief then loss and oh so many needles".
"But feeling stuck, frustrated and full of questions, led us to working with an amazing fertility support team and now we are here," he continued.
The star concluded the post by thanking their unborn baby for "choosing us" and that they "can't wait to share our lives with you".
"Baby Honda due Summer 2025, @miathelittledog is very excited to be a big sister."

The couple have since received a host of well wishes in the comments, with fellow Neighbours actor Annie Jones (Jane Harris) writing: "Congratulations".
Tim Kano (Leo Tanaka) added: "Omedetou (congratulations) Taka and Amychan," while Lucinda Cowden (Melanie Pearson) said: "I have tears!! So incredibly pleased for you both… you're gonna be the bestest parents … overjoyed."
Takaya played the role of David on Neighbours for eight years, with his character killed off earlier this year.
Neighbours releases new episodes from Mondays to Thursdays for free on Amazon Freevee in the UK and US. In Australia, the show airs from Mondays to Thursdays at 4pm on Channel 10, with a 6.30pm repeat screening on 10 Peach Comedy.
