Neighbours spoilers follow.

Neighbours' Terese Willis will confront Toadie Rebecchi over his connection to Melanie Pearson.

The soap's recent Flashback Week revealed that Melanie knew Krista Sinclair years ago, with the pair now facing a preliminary interview with the UK government over previous drug offences.

In scenes airing on January 2, Terese nurses her quiet discomfort over Toadie's reference letter for Melanie, which speaks to her "unmatched selflessness" and her "exceptional" status as a stepmother.

Elsewhere on the soap, fan-favourite couple Chloe Brennan and Elly Conway are set to exchange their wedding vows in scenes airing on Thursday (December 28).

Opening up about the intimate ceremony during a recent interview with Digital Spy, Elly actor Jodi Gordon shared: "There was a lot of care put into the words that we said to each other – and each separate moment that built up to the wedding as well.

"The magic of their relationship, how that evolved and how that is represented from scene to scene up until the wedding was really important to both of us."
