Speaking about her final storyline to publication The West, she teased: "I can't tell you about it — the audience will have to wait and see — but I went and spoke to the producers and the head writer and ran it past them, and they loved [my idea].

"[The story] is very pertinent, and very important, and I am really very proud of it. From what I have read, and from what we have filmed so far, it is so well written — I just hope I can do it justice.

She also explained that she made the decision to leave Home and Away when she took some time off last year to star in a play.

"Doing [that] again made me realise that while I still have my health and my marbles, that is where I want to be."
