Darren Osborne will get a blast from the past on Hollyoaks as his life spirals out of control, with a familiar face set to make a return to the village after an eight-year absence.
Darren's life has been in turmoil over the past few weeks, with the beloved character discovering last month that he wasn't the biological father of Morgan. It turns out that Tony Hutchinson is indeed her dad, though he doesn't know that.
In next week's scenes, Darren and Nancy come face-to-face with both Tony and Diane as the paternity of Morgan looms over them, with things getting even more awkward as Tony asks Darren to be his best man at the upcoming wedding.
Later on, a hungover Darren is chastised by Frankie, with Jack and Pearl also voicing their displeasure at his behaviour. He drowns his sorrows at Casa McQueen, and then gets a big shock.

Zoe's return sees Zoë Lister reprise the role that she first played back in 2006, with the actor making a brief comeback as part of the 30th anniversary celebrations for the Channel 4 soap.

After confirming the news on Instagram, the announcement was welcomed by co-stars and fans alike, with Michaela McQueen actor Hollie-Jay Bowes commenting: "Yessssssssss. We love to see it!!!! 😍"
"Welcome back to Hollyoaks even if it's for a short while, I never got to see Zoe the first time round so it'll be nice to get to know her," wrote one fan, while another commented: "can't tell you how excited I am for Zoe Carpenter to come back."
Hollyoaks airs on Mondays-Wednesdays with its Channel 4 streaming premiere at 7am, then an E4 broadcast the same night at 7pm. Full episodes are also released on YouTube a week after their Channel 4 release.
