Hollyoaks will expose Ste Hay and Rex Gallagher's secret relationship next week, as Dillon Ray discovers the truth.
With lingering feelings threatening to resurface, will Dillon keep this betrayal from Lucas?
Ste and Rex quickly resumed their romance when Rex was released from prison. But when they received some serious threats – that we know were from Lucas – they decided to split up.
But the pair couldn't keep apart for long and chose to continue seeing each other in secret for now, making sure Lucas and Dillon don't find out.

In next week's episodes there is reason to celebrate, as Dillon receives a chip for staying sober for 60 days. He shares this news with elated Lucas and Ste – but when Ste hugs Dillon, the teen is left thrown.
Things then take an uncomfortable turn when Dillon asks Ste if he can take him for dinner to thank him for his help…
"Dillon recently told his boyfriend's dad that he has feelings for him," recaps our insider, "but agreed to bury these deep down when he was rejected by Ste.

"So when Dillon now asks him to dinner, Ste reminds him to lock away these inappropriate emotions. He even gives his son the day off so he can spend it with his partner, hoping it will make Dillon realise that it's Lucas he loves."
Meanwhile, Ste continues to sneak around and arranges a secret meeting with Rex back in the flat.
However, Dillon and Lucas decide that they're going to spend a cosy day on the sofa together. While Lucas heads to the shops to buy supplies, Dillon gets home first – and catches Ste and Rex together!

"Dillon can't believe what he’s seeing," says our source. "Not only because of his confusing feelings for Ste, but because he believes that this will put the whole family in danger. Of course, he remains completely unaware that the sinister threats were made by Lucas…"
With Rex fleeing this awkward confrontation, Ste is left alone to beg Dillon not to tell Lucas about their sordid romance.
Later, Misbah spots Dillon and Lucas and congratulates her nephew on the latest milestone in his recovery.
But will the couple be torn apart by lies, or will Dillon tell Lucas everything?
Hollyoaks airs on Mondays-Wednesdays with its Channel 4 streaming premiere at 7am, then an E4 broadcast the same night at 7pm. Full episodes are also released on YouTube a week after their Channel 4 release.
