The ongoing storyline involving Bobby Costello took another twist on Hollyoaks, with an arrest finally being made.
The troubled teen was killed in cold blood by Jez Blake last month, with the serial killer using the murder to conceal his previous crimes. Despite this, Tony Hutchinson believed he was responsible for Bobby's death, though he had covered his 'tracks' with the help of Diane.
Monday's (18 August) episode saw Tony's affair with Mercedes exposed as they gathered for Bobby's funeral, with tonight's instalment beginning as Diane downplayed the flirty message while speaking to Ant and Dee Dee.
After Mercedes paid an emotional tribute to her late son, Diane arrived at the funeral and asked Tony if he had recently slept with Mercedes, though he denied it as he declared his love for Diane and said he was merely friends with Mercedes.

She also implicated his 'involvement" in Bobby's death, with John Paul twigging that Tony was the one driving the car on that fateful day. A tearful Tony admitted what he thought to be the truth to Mercedes, with a villainous Jez feeling smug as he viewed the livestream.

As a handcuffed Tony was escorted to custody in front of the village, Diane was immediately questioned over her involvement in the cover-up, while Sienna was left to grapple with the fact that she is one of the few who know the complete truth…
