Hollyoaks aired an unexpected update for Liberty Savage and Jez Blake as the latter continued to cover his tracks.
It's been a tumultuous time for the Blakes, with Jez continuing his killing spree as his relationship with John Paul McQueen crumbled on their wedding day. Not one to dwell on misfortune, the killer promptly renewed his affair with Liberty - only this time in the open.

As the pair arrived at a floral sign, Liberty mistakenly assumed that Jez was asking for her hand in marriage, though a cart was soon wheeled away to reveal that she had been asked to attend a flower show with him.

Despite his warnings, Liberty accepted the proposal, with Dodger and Sienna being horrified as they discovered the news. Jez arrived to tell the group that he had bought the Love Boat, with Dodger and Sienna sceptical as to how he secured the funds.

After the situation calmed, John said that "nothing" would stop him from opening a "new chapter" in his life. It seems his words could ring true, with Dodger confirming to Donny Clark that Dilly Harcourt's DNA had been found at various crime scenes…
