Hollyoaks spoilers follow for the latest episode that aired on E4 and streamed on Channel 4.

Hollyoaks' Dillon Ray has made desperate phone call as the kidnapping storyline hurtles towards its climax — but it might be too late as things took a tragic turn.

The latest episode began with Dillon in the same house as Frankie Osborne, Vicky Grant, and Robbie Roscoe, who had all been imprisoned there by Grace Black at various times.

Dillon revealed to the girls that he had stolen a phone and was going to call for help, but it only had 1% battery.

Elsewhere, Lucas Hay's dad Ste was fuming to discover that the youngster hadn't slept in days and had an imminent consultation about his brain tumour surgery in just a few hours.

Lucas said all he could think about was Dillon calling off their relationship, but Ste said he's got no chance of repairing things with him if he doesn't get better.

Lucas agreed and went to bed to rest, while his phone flashed with a call from an unknown number...

When he awoke, he found a voicemail from Dillon telling him they were being held hostage at a place called Fernmere Hill.

Lucas followed Rex Gallagher and Dodger Savage to the hospital, where they told Donny Clarke they were days away from getting a search warrant for Fernmere and could expose trafficking boss DI Banks.

Unwilling to wait that long, Lucas tried to steal a car to go there himself. After Lucas raged at Rex for his involvement, he passed out.

Rex managed to get Lucas to the hospital and tearfully told a staff member that he was family when asked. Will Lucas pull through?

Elsewhere in the episode, Kat Omari told Darren and Nancy about why she split the family up and about the safe house, but didn't tell them where it was and that Frankie would be killed if they go after her.

The couple were briefly distracted by Nancy needing to take her second abortion pill, and when they returned, she was gone.

There was also a shock death confirmation, an arrest, and dark reveal in another unfolding storyline.

Hollyoaks airs on Mondays-Wednesdays with its Channel 4 streaming premiere at 7am, then an E4 broadcast the same night at 7pm. Full episodes are also released on YouTube a week after their Channel 4 release.

Selected omnibus episodes are available via Prime Video.
