Hollyoaks is set to air a surprise engagement for Tony Hutchinson and Marie Fielding – but the celebrations could be derailed by Arlo’s dangerous threat.
Arlo’s bullying of Ro has continued to escalate in recent months, with the teenager making Ro’s life a misery with transphobic abuse.
Ro is currently facing time in a young offenders unit, after he fought back against Arlo and accidentally stabbed Oscar in the process.

Last week, Arlo continued to put dark thoughts in Ro’s head and falsely claimed that Diane’s accident in the bath was a suicide attempt.

In scenes that will air next week, Marie tells Peri that her late son Abe’s body has been released to the morgue.
But Peri rejects the idea of holding a memorial for him, with the trauma of his abuse still raw for her, Cleo and Leela.

With Marie still grieving her son, she is supported by her partner Tony. Their relationship is in a good place, so Tony surprises Marie by suggesting they get engaged.
When the news comes out, the family gathers to toast the happy couple, but Diane is shocked to hear that Tony has got engaged again so quickly after their divorce.
She has other problems to deal with though, as Ro receives a nasty threat, and Diane tries to reach out to him. But with Arlo warning that there will be consequences if he tells anyone about the messages, Ro keeps quiet and tells his mum that he feels better.

Later, Diane has a heartfelt conversation with her ex-husband, and when Marie interrupts their chat, Diane wishes both of them the best for their future together.
As the week continues, Marie and Tony excitedly plan their engagement party that is set to be held that evening, while Diane is distracted by other matters.
Ro is worried about what his mum might do next, so decides to join Diane at the engagement party.
When Diane arrives, she pleads with Tony to see the truth. What has Diane discovered, and will she convince Tony to believe her?
Hollyoaks airs on Mondays-Wednesdays with its Channel 4 streaming premiere at 7am, then an E4 broadcast the same night at 7pm. Full episodes are also released on YouTube a week after their Channel 4 release.
