Hollyoaks star Stephanie Waring has shared an update on her new career path following her exit from the soap.

The star was confirmed earlier this year to be exiting her role of Cindy Cunningham amid a number of cast axings as the soap moves to fewer episodes a week from September.

Stephanie later revealed in May that she would be embarking on a new career in the wellness industry, and has now announced that she has qualified as a life coach.

Taking to her Instagram page, the actor posted a confirmation of her certification, writing: “Today I became a certified life coach!

“Behind the scenes I have been working hard, studying for hours, working with clients for my unsupervised hours required and it all came down to this. The final exam!

“I am so unbelievably proud of myself for seeing this through and discovering a passion beyond my wildest dreams,” Stephanie continued.

“Thank you @jayshetty for your hours of wisdom and guidance. @jayshettycertificationschool this new path I am on is one I intend to keep walking down. I DID IT!!!!”

The star received a host of congratulatory messages in the comments, including from fellow Hollyoaks star Ross Adams (Scott Drinkwell), who wrote: “So proud of you x.”

Opening up previously about her new career choice, Stephanie told fans: "I love my job, I love my career, the profession I've been in since I was 18 years old. I'm not leaving it, I'm gonna carry on acting but I have other passions I want to pursue.

"So, for about a month now, I have been studying to enter a new career, a new field in the wellness industry. I have been accepted and enrolled into the Jay Shetty Certification Life Coaching School and, honestly, it's changed my life. It is changing my life."

The star added: "It's something that I've wanted to do for a couple of years now but because I've been so busy working on Hollyoaks, I've not even thought I could do it."

"So this is what I'm doing and it's incredible and I hope that I can help Jay change a billion lives. If I'm just a tiny part of it, I wanna be on that journey. I hope you all follow my journey."

Hollyoaks streams first online via Channel 4 each weekday at 7.30pm. Episodes then air on E4 the following day, before getting their YouTube premiere a week after that.
