Hollyoaks has aired another shocking development for newcomers Jeremy and Martha Blake.
Jeremy recently turned up in Chester to make up for his evil twin brother Patrick Blake's misdeeds, but he faced scepticism from Patrick's daughter Sienna and ex-lover Maxine.
Viewers have seen that Jeremy has a tattoo that he is determined to hide from Sienna and Dilly — while fellow newcomer Martha wants to keep Jeremy away from the village at all costs.
In Tuesday's (July 16) streaming-first episode, a disoriented Jeremy woke up after being drugged by Martha in the shed. Jeremy begged Martha to set him free, insisting that he was not evil like his brother Patrick. However, Martha continued to believe it was dangerous for him to be in Chester.

Back in the village, Sienna admitted to Dilly that she thought Jeremy was hiding something from his dark past from them. The siblings went looking for Jeremy to find out the truth, only to stumble on the shed where Martha was making plans to take him away from the village for good.
As Martha tried to inject Jeremy with a syringe, Sienna and Dilly burst in to save him. Dilly freed Jeremy from his shackles, while Sienna stopped Martha from fleeing.
"I've tried to help him. He needs protecting," Martha begged. "You wouldn't understand. I know him best."
Martha explained to Dilly and Sienna that she was Jeremy's mother. Sienna and Dilly accused Martha of lying, reminding her she'd recently put Jeremy in the hospital.
Jeremy admitted to Sienna that he'd lied about Martha's identity since coming to Chester, but turned the tables by claiming Martha was the one who was "not well".
"The last thing I wanted to do was inflict her on you, as well," Jeremy insisted.
Martha apologised for lying to her granddaughters, yet they refused to let her take Jeremy away for "special care".
"There's so much more you don't understand," Martha pleaded.
Sienna ordered Martha to leave and never come back, with a shocking cliffhanger later on seeing Jeremy ominously hiding in Martha's car as she went to flee.

"I knew I couldn't trust you," Jeremy declared, before ordering Martha to keep quiet.
Sienna and Dilly had no idea about the alarming scene playing out in the car park, as they debated whether or not to refer to Jeremy as 'Uncle Jez' from now on.
