Hollyoaks star Tomi Ade has opened up about the possibility of romance for his character DeMarcus.
In an interview with Inside Soap, the actor spoke about his character, the downfall of DeMarcus’ relationship with Leah and if there’s anyone else DeMarcus could potentially be set up with.
DeMarcus has found a friend in Vicky since the fallout of his relationship with Leah, but could that blossom into something more?

“The strain on him and Leah is almost irreversible due to the amount of strain they’ve been under,” he explained.
“DeMarcus and Vicky see each other almost as kindred spirits, two young people who feel broken and displaced. That pushes them closer together and there could be a sense of helping the other mend, two broken pieces making a whole.

“DeMarcus is trying to wade through the mess that life is throwing at him, so love is not the first thing on his mind. I do hope we see a smile on his face soon, though.”

“DeMarcus is on board with the idea, as it’s an opportunity for him and Felix to talk. He can get his point across without being interrupted or feel like others are watching,” he said.
“Felix is aware they got to a point where him and his son just weren’t communicating, which was putting a big strain on them. Having a neutral environment with a mediator means they can talk and listen to how they’re actually feeling."
