Hollyoaks spoilers follow from Monday's first-look episode (October 10), which hasn't yet aired on TV but is available to watch now on All 4.

Hollyoaks star Olly Rhodes has left the soap after five months in the role of villain Joseph Holmes.

Joseph's final scenes aired in Monday's first-look edition (October 10), which is streaming early on All 4 ahead of its TV broadcast this evening.

Joseph was arrested for Saul's murder last week, when his girlfriend Vicky Grant exposed the evidence which proved he'd been lying to everyone.

This allowed DeMarcus to walk free at last, after he'd spent the past few weeks locked away for a crime he didn't commit.

Monday's visit to the village saw Joseph being questioned down at the police station, alongside his mother Gill.

As Zoe changed tact, Joseph began to slip up in the interview, before losing his temper completely.

When Zoe insisted that only a coward would stab someone with a knife, Joseph aggressively replied: "I bet that's what he thought too. Trust me, I am not to be messed with and I will not let someone like you make me feel inadequate."

The post-credits scene then saw Joseph breaking down in his cell, with Zoe telling an overwhelmed Grace that the teenager had finally confessed.

Digital Spy can confirm that tonight's first-look episode marks the end of Joseph's stint on the show. He was introduced as Vicky's boyfriend back in June.

Hollyoaks streams first on All 4, with new episodes dropping each weekday morning. The show airs Mondays to Fridays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, and at 7pm on E4. Selected omnibus episodes are available via Amazon Prime Video.
