Hollyoaks star Jennifer Metcalfe has spoken out about her onscreen son Bobby Costello's future in the soap after he murdered Silas Blissett in a shock twist of events.
After Silas kidnapped the McQueen clan and forced them to take part in a fatal game of chess in Wednesday's (September 28) dramatic double episode, Bobby finally put a stop to his grandfather's decade-long reign of terror by pushing him onto the electrified board.
Though it seemed Bobby had finally turned on Silas, the sinister post-credits sequence saw him taking the serial killer's signature cap, suggesting he could follow in his evil footsteps.

Metcalfe, who plays Bobby's mum Mercedes, has now spoken out about the twist and how it might affect Bobby's future.

"Bobby could turn into his Grandad at some point, he’s a brilliant little actor and one of my favourite people to work with," she told Daily Star. "He’s so talented and I think over the last two years he’s just got better and better."
The actress added that, while she doesn't "want him to turn evil", Jakob Chialton (who plays Bobby) "would smash it, if that is what they have in mind for him".

Silas actor Jeff Rawle had some thoughts on the subject of his own, teasing Silas and Bobby could have secretly come up with another plan altogether.
"I had worked out a fatal flaw in the logic of Silas's plan, which could be manipulated," he told Radio Times. "So, if you wanted to, you could possibly keep him alive… Is there something him and Bobby might've secretly cooked between them?
"Perhaps Silas was wearing a special protective suit under his clothes, even though it looks like he had 2,000 vaults put through him!"
Hollyoaks streams first on All 4, with new episodes dropping each weekday morning. The show airs Mondays to Fridays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, and at 7pm on E4.
