Hollyoaks teases final Silas return, autumn stunt in new trailer

Hollyoaks spoilers follow.

Hollyoaks has unveiled its autumn trailer and there is plenty to dive into, with the biggest upcoming storyline being the return of serial killer Silas Blissett.

Silas' return has been teased for months, as he's been secretly in communication with young Bobby Costello and sent Wendy to try and steal him away to America.

Well, he's coming back in the flesh, and as we can see in the trailer, he's going to kidnap Mercedes and start some twisted chess game in the middle of the village, which will be turned into a carnival for some extra creepy vibes.

It looks like it will be the final time Silas appears as well, with all this talk of his 'endgame' and the on-screen text teasing it being his final act. Will he meet a grisly end or be locked up for good? And will he bump off any of the McQueens before he goes?

What to Read Next

Beyond that, we've got the continuation of DeMarcus Westwood's storyline, who has been locked up for murder that he didn't commit. While it doesn't look like he'll be freed anytime soon, it looks like Vicky Grant might stand up for herself and point Felix in evil fiancé/actual murderer Joseph Holmes' direction.

We've also got the fallout from Shaq Qureshi and Nadira Valli's failed wedding, which turned into Misbah Maalik and Zain Rizwaan's wedding. In the trailer, we see Shaq will try to get back with Verity Hutchinson, while married life won't be all sunshine and rainbows for Misbah and Zain, and Peri Lomax will have an uncomfortable encounter with Nadira and Juliet Nightingale.

And we haven't even mentioned more drama with crime boss Norma Crow, a showdown between Warren Fox and Joel Dexter, the return of the Victor brothers and a big explosion.

In amongst all the drama, there are moments of humour in the trailer too: Felix and Scott Drinkwell are going to pretend to be a couple in order to do some snooping, and James Nightingale will get dressed up as a mouse. What more could you want?

How about the fact that stunt week will climax with an hour-long special episode this September? Not satisfied? Well, you might not have noticed but the trailer also features former Coronation Street star Angela Lonsdale as Joseph's mum, and there may be plenty more information regarding her casting come very soon...

Hollyoaks streams first on All 4, with new episodes dropping each weekday morning. The show airs Mondays to Fridays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, and at 7pm on E4.
