Hollyoaks is set to kick off filming in a matter of weeks, three months after the Channel 4 soap first paused production amid the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
Following last week's announcement that production had resumed, the show has now confirmed that filming will begin on Monday, July 13 – albeit in a "phased" manner.
A spokesperson for the soap also confirmed that the cast and crew will be required to "attend a safety induction" before they can return to the set, giving the team time to get used to following any new social distancing guidelines.

These latest changes won't be seen on air for a few months, with Channel 4 continuing the current schedule of two episodes a week until September, when the number of weekly episodes will be increased to four.
