Hollyoaks Favourites is going to show the origin story of one of its most iconic characters.

The Channel 4 soap has announced it will travel back all the way to 1997 next week for three special episodes dedicated to Cindy Cunningham!

At that point in the soap's history, Stephanie Waring was just taking over the role from the original Cindy actress, Laura Crossley. She'd become a mainstay of Hollyoaks to the present day.

The three episodes being shown next week will flash back to Christmas 1997 to chronicle Cindy's secret pregnancy, and the birth of her daughter Holly.
