Emmerdale spoilers follow.
Emmerdale villain John Sugden is still causing chaos in the village, with his twisted desire to put people in danger then save them. It was this behaviour that led to Nate Robinson’s death last year.
But he’s deemed a hero by the community, so his crimes remain undiscovered – and this week’s episodes saw him use Owen’s sudden demise to cover his tracks.
However, John’s half-brother Robert has always been suspicious of him, and next week he realises that Owen couldn’t have been responsible for Nate’s death.
Actor Oliver Farnworth, who plays evil John, spoke exclusively to us at Inside Soap about this dangerous storyline, as well as what he thinks about Robert’s relationship with Aaron…

What to Read Next
Hi, Oliver! It’s been an eventful year so far for John. Has it turned out how you expected?
"Yes, and more! The Nate situation was revealed to me very early on, it was one of the first things I shot, so I’ve always understood the direction John’s character was going in. That said, you're never quite sure whether it's going to be a slow burn, or if it's going to be very intense all at once. I'm in the middle of that now, and it's a rollercoaster!"
What did you think when Robert came back and crashed Aaron and John’s wedding?
"Oh, absolutely brilliant and a genius move from the producers. Robert and Aaron have such history, and that partnership was particularly loved by the audience. It’s caused great conflict as we’ve seen Aaron and John’s relationship blossom and suddenly there's this huge spanner in the works. It’s going to lead to a lot more drama, there's definitely no love lost between John and Robert!"

In another universe, do you think John and Aaron could live happily ever after?
"Absolutely, as, ultimately, they do love each other. It's probably a different love to Aaron and Robert, but I think John and Aaron really work. John can calm Aaron at times when he gets hot headed, and likewise Aaron is able to bring John out of his shell. We know he lived alone for a long time, and Aaron’s shown him the kind of lighter side of love and life."
