Emmerdale has confirmed a dangerous twist for Sarah Sugden in a tense new trailer.

After deciding that she wanted to become a mother, Sarah recently began looking into IVF treatment. However, in a tragic turn of events, she was later diagnosed with cervical cancer.

Despite this, Sarah's hopes of having a baby remained possible as there was a chance she could still conceive through IVF. With Jacob Gallagher offering to be her sperm donor, the plan seemed to be going ahead.

Meanwhile, upcoming episodes will see more obstacles for Sarah, when Jacob accidentally reveals her IVF plans to her granddad Cain. Cain is furious when he learns the truth but Sarah is determined to pursue her baby dream.
