Emmerdale confirms who calls social services on Joe Tate in early ITVX episode

Emmerdale spoilers follow from Friday's episode (23 May), which is available to watch now on streaming service ITVX but hasn't yet aired on ITV1.

Emmerdale is lining up more trouble at Home Farm, as vulnerable Clemmie Reed calls social services about Joe Tate.

The surprise twist airs in Friday's episode, as it becomes clear that Joe and Dawn Fletcher won't face a smooth ride in their efforts to play happy families together.

Joe and Dawn are trying to get things back on track after a chaotic few weeks, which culminated in Dawn pushing Joe out of an upstairs window at Home Farm.

There's lots of work still to do on Joe's part, though, as he cruelly threatened Clemmie when she discovered his affair with Dawn earlier this month.

As Joe playfully quizzes Dawn on whether they're just friends or something more, Clemmie sees the way things are going for the pair.

Spoilers for next week's episodes have revealed that social services will pay a visit to Home Farm to question Dawn and Joe over Clemmie's desperate call.
