Emmerdale star Katie Hill wants her to see her character Sarah Sugden form some more female friendships.
Sarah had been close friends with Chloe Harris, who exited the show in 2023 as her long-running love triangle storyline with Mackenzie and Charity Dingle reached its conclusion.
Speaking to Digital Spy and other press, Hill said that Sarah has been "feeling a bit lonely" following Chloe's absence from the village.

"I think we can definitely see some moments coming up where she's feeling a bit lonely," she shared.

"And I think Sarah is one of those characters where she likes to think she can deal with things on her own.
"So that sometimes leads to her bottling things up, which can lead to her feeling a bit lonely.
"So yeah, I think we definitely will see some moments coming up with Sarah where she's feeling a bit lonely. But it all hopefully will work out in the end."

Sarah is set to find herself in a love triangle next week as she becomes torn between her feelings for trainee doctor Jacob Gallagher and newcomer Kammy, but Hill wants wants to see her character make some close female bonds, too.
"Apart from Chloe, I've not really had another female friendship," she said. "I think it'd be really nice to see her having some girly time, and I think it'd also be really good for her to have a young girl friend who she can confide in and hopefully then would make her feel less lonely.
"I think that would be really nice for her to have a friend, who she can spend time with and do the girly fun things."
