Emmerdale spoilers follow for the latest episode to air on ITV1.
Emmerdale has aired some upsetting scenes tonight (December 3) as Brenda Walker and Eric Pollard continued to row, and she considered leaving the village.
The latest episode saw Eric, who was diagnosed with Parkinson's last year, insist that he would be able to rectify a scam situation by himself and didn't need anyone's help. Brenda was calm with him, although she admitted that she should be furious, and took herself outside.
When she came back, she told Eric that she went to the police despite his protests, and the authorities told her that since he invested his money of his own free will and knew the risks, they couldn't do anything.

"What about what I need?" she responded, admitting that she doesn't know if she's got the energy to bounce back from the financial ruin.
Eric then ran up to Brenda in the street and said that, while the situation was bad, they still had a roof over their heads.
"It's your name on the deeds," she replied. "Whatever I had, whatever I worked all my life for, is gone."
Their conversation carried on back home, with Brenda telling him that the only reason she hasn't moved out is because she's "penniless" and "stuck here".

After he promised her he'd sell the shop to help get her money back, Brenda stated that she needed to hear the truth about something that had been on her mind even more than the money: did he only ask her to marry him because the medication was affecting him?
"I must admit, I hadn't envisioned getting married again," he said, which threw Brenda into despair.
"All those things I said when I proposed, I do mean them," he said in a later conversation. "And honestly, I don't mind if we do get married. I don't know what I would do if you left me."
Although she said she wasn't leaving and gave him a hug as the episode ended, her face suggested she wasn't sure. Meanwhile, we know that Brenda actor Lesley Dunlop is leaving the soap so is this the beginning of the end for the couple?
Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
