Speaking about the storyline, Bradley explained: "Vinny's birth mum has always played on his mind. He already knows that Mandy is not his biological mother, and in the lockdown episodes a few years ago, we saw Mandy opening up to Vinny about that.

"Vinny thought that he was clued up on his past, and he was happy with that. He appreciated that Mandy took him under her wing and gave him this amazing life.

"That's what makes Mandy and Vinny so close. Even though she's not his biological mother, to him she is."

He continued: "Next week, we see the scenes where Tina has told Vinny everything about being his birth mother. Vinny is distraught, because everything Mandy has told him for all of his life has been a lie.

"Vinny knows that Mandy lies through her teeth sometimes, but he never thought that she'd tell such a big lie to him. I think he's just angry, distraught, and he completely resents Mandy.

"The rest of the Dingles also think that it's horrendous and they all take Vinny's side. Sam and Lydia are really angry with Mandy as well, because of the way she's lied towards Vinny. It really rocks the family dynamic.

"Vinny is genuinely hurt. Deep down, he's in two minds. He knows that Mandy probably lied to not hurt him as much, but on the other hand, he wishes she'd been honest and upfront."

Bradley expressed his hopes that Vinny and Mandy can ultimately resolve their differences by talking things through.

He said: "I think it's very raw. In the heat of the moment, they both say things they don't mean. For the moment, Vinny doesn't give Mandy the opportunity to explain, and he wants nothing to do with her. He's just fuming, so he doesn't want to see or talk to her.

"But I would hope that they've been through so much together that they could sit down and Mandy could explain why she did what she did.

"I'm sure there's some sort of explanation that would let them sort things out and be the mother-son duo that they are."
