Emmerdale spoilers follow.

Cain Dingle has confronted Moira Dingle over a major secret in Emmerdale.

Last week, Moira started making plans to create a living will in case her brain tumour operation was unsuccessful. She had no idea Cain was listening as she was sharing her plans with Vanessa Woodfield.

While Vanessa encouraged her friend to talk to Cain about her fears, Moira was insistent on putting a legal framework in place so her husband wouldn't have to make any life-or-death decisions.

The soap returned to Butlers Farm in Monday's (October 28) episode where Cain confronted Moira for keeping her living will a secret.

"I gave you every chance to tell me," Cain angrily declared.

He admitted he'd overheard Moira's conversation with Vanessa, with his wife apologising that he'd found out in such a harsh way.

"You had enough on your plate with Belle and Sam. I didn't want to burden you," Moira insisted.

Moira said a life-or-death decision following her operation was her "choice to make", though Cain insisted he should at least have been informed.

"You have the weight of your whole family on your shoulders, and I just wanted to take one thing away for you," Moira told him. "I swear, I never meant to hurt you."

Cain ultimately understood but asked his wife: "Don't hide things from me. Not important stuff, like this."

Moira promised she wouldn't keep any more secrets, with Cain then stressing: "From now on, we just need to be honest with each other, no matter what."

"I promise," Moira assured him.

The pair shared a kiss as the emotional scene came to a close…

Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
