Emmerdale spoilers follow.
Tom King has tricked his wife Belle over the disappearance of Piper the dog in Emmerdale.
With a special episode on the horizon for the couple, Tom has been intensifying his coercive control over his spouse in recent episodes.
He convinced her that robbers had stolen her wedding ring because she didn't come home on time, and also installed a tracker so he could see where Belle was at all times.
Tom's latest scheme involved getting Belle to stop spending so much time with friend Vinny Dingle and Piper the dog because of his jealousy.

It was revealed in the latest instalment that Piper had gone missing. Tom made his wife feel worse by admitting the longer Piper is missing, the more worried he gets that something has happened to her.
"I swear, if I find her, I am never letting her out of my sight again," Belle vowed.
Tom made himself look like a hero, assuring Belle he'd messaged all of the local vets with pictures of Piper in hopes of finding her.
Viewers soon learned that Piper wasn't missing at all — as Tom had faked her dognapping and was holding her in a crate at the vet's office.
"I think it's about time I found you and took all the glory," Tom told the puppy.
That's exactly what happened next — he announced that he'd heroically rescued Piper and reunited her with Belle.
"I had to practically wade the river to get her," Tom claimed. "She was shaking like a leaf."
Belle rushed off to pamper the pooch, while Tom got a dig in on Vinny — reminding him how much trouble he would have been in if Piper wasn't found.
Will Vinny discover the truth about Piper's disappearance?
