Emmerdale's Ryan Stocks and partner Gail Loman are set to reach a breakthrough over their son Oscar.
Ryan and Gail recently met Oscar, their son whom Gail gave up for adoption years ago. Oscar had been in need of a marrow donation and has since had successful surgery.

However, after the surgery, Oscar's adoptive mother, Sophie, became jealous of the bond he formed with his biological parents and tried to stop them from seeing each other. She even told the couple their son doesn't want to see them.
In upcoming scenes, Oscar will arrive in the village and reveal to Gail, Ryan and Charity that his mum knows about his visit to them the day before.

Gail and Charity are left shocked when Ryan talks back to Sophie, expressing his upset over her lies about Oscar not wanting to see him and Gail.
When Charity takes Oscar away to give Ryan and Sophie some space, Gail surprises Ryan by forgiving Sophie — but reminds her that she and Ryan are hurt at having been cut off. She then tells Sophie that Oscar should decide whether he wants to see Ryan and Gail.
Later, Charity is unsure how much to reveal to Oscar about their family, but Mack encourages her to keep things simple.

When Oscar asks Charity for answers about Ryan's father (DI Mark Bails, who groomed and abused Charity when she was a child), she explains her age at the time she got pregnant.
Oscar works out the implications of Charity's age difference with Ryan's father, then reassures Charity that he's glad his grandfather is no longer around.
Elsewhere, Sophie and Oscar exchange apologies, and Sophie agrees to give her son a chance to see Gail and Ryan again.
