Emmerdale spoilers follow.
Emmerdale offers the first hints of a new rivalry next week, as Caleb Miligan is introduced to newcomer Amit Sharma.
Show bosses have just introduced former EastEnders actor Anil Goutam as Amit, who's the father of Jai and Suni.
In next week's episodes, Suni asks Amit to stay in the UK on a permanent basis. Sadly, he soon sees another side to his father when Amit tries to emotionally blackmail him.
Suni's boyfriend Nicky Miligan spots that something is wrong and asks what's going on. This prompts Suni to explain all, confirming that Amit is hiding a secret.

A struggling Suni starts to wish that the whole situation would go away, while Nicky is shocked by the details that he hears.
Later, Suni's sense of unease grows as Amit tries to play happy families with Jai.
Things only get worse when a dinner is arranged so that Amit can get to know Nicky and Caleb.

As everyone sits down together, the tension between Caleb and Amit continues.
Nicky also faces a tough time with Amit, who questions his recent sham relationship with Gabby Thomas.
In the end, Caleb and Nicky decide that it's time to head off, leaving Suni unimpressed by his father's antics. However, Caleb is hopeful over potential leverage when Nicky hints that Amit has skeletons in his closet.
Speaking about Amit and Suni, show newcomer Anil recently told Digital Spy and other media: "Amit looks out for his family and that is his raison d'être. Amit will look out for Suni, but in Amit's mind, Suni's sister has taken the role that Suni should have done.

"Amit thinks that Suni should have been the right-hand man in the business. He should be the person who takes over, but he hasn't wanted to do any of that.
"Amit is comfortable with Suni being gay. He may give the impression that he's not the sort of person who is comfortable with it, but he is. It just bugs him that, given all the advantages Suni has, he's decided to be a chef.
"To be fair to Suni, he wants to live his own life but that's not something Amit can easily let happen because then things drift out of control. I'd say it is a controlling relationship, but underneath that, Amit needs to look out for Suni and protect him."
