Emmerdale teen Jacob Gallagher is left with food for thought tonight (February 23) as Jai Sharma urges him to give Leyla Cavanagh another chance.
Jacob recently decided to cut ties with his mum, vowing that he wanted nothing more to do with her after she was tempted by drugs again.
Leyla has struggled with a drug addiction since last year. Although she went to rehab and took positive steps to turn her life around, Leyla came close to a relapse last month after experiencing a lonely Christmas.
When Leyla bought drugs from her old dealer, Callum, she was caught by Jacob.

Jacob then took the decision to confront Callum with a knife, which backfired when he was stabbed by Callum and nearly lost his life in hospital.
In Thursday's hour-long episode, Arthur Thomas approaches Jacob for help planning the community's upcoming LGBTQ+ History Month event.
Arthur hopes that Jacob's connections to events planner Leyla will pay off, but Jacob is forced to admit that he still isn't on speaking terms with his mum.

Shortly afterwards, Jai steps in and urges Jacob to reach out to Leyla.
Jai, who has his own experience with a drug addiction, points out how difficult things must be for Leyla and says that Jacob's support will help with her recovery.
Leyla is moved when Jacob finally offers an olive branch, but can things ever get back to normal between them?
Earlier this week, Emmerdale revealed that Jai's support for Leyla will lead to a major misunderstanding in upcoming episodes.
Leyla misinterprets Jai's kindness and leans in for a kiss next week. This is witnessed by Jai's partner Laurel Thomas, who's furious.
