Emmerdale star Dominic Brunt on possible reunion for Paddy and Chas

Emmerdale star Dominic Brunt has spoken about a potential reunion between his character Paddy and Lucy Pargeter's Chas following the revelation of her affair.

Paddy found out that Chas was having an affair with the late Al Chapman (Michael Wildman). Paddy then ended his marriage to Chas, but in a new interview with Radio Times, the actor said he's unsure about the future of the Emmerdale couple.

"We don’t know what’s going on in the future, we have no idea about the long-term. There’s plenty of bickering and drama and hatred to come," Brunt said.

"But it’s been quite colourful, because you can’t be that negative all the way through, so the scripts that we’ve had at the moment have still been quite good fun to do."

Brunt continued: "There have been different paces and different angles. They’ve coloured it in very, very well, to say that it’s a couple falling out badly."

When asked specifically about a reunion between Paddy and Chas, Brunt was unsure, although he did emphasise how much he loves working with Pargeter so anything involving more work with her, he'd be up for.

"Oh, I don’t know! I just don’t know, I mean, in real life, what would you do? It’s an unknown quantity, I just don’t know. Selfishly, I like working with Lucy, I really do," Brunt said.

"But story-wise, morality-wise, there’s got to be a consequence to every action in soap. I think if they do get back together, it’ll be a long road to go down."
