Samson Dingle has sunk to a new low in Emmerdale's ongoing baby storyline.

Wednesday's (November 16) episode concluded with Samson making a false report of neglect to child services in order to get his daughter Esther taken into care.

This disturbing situation unfolded after Samson and Lydia left the child with their son in the hope he'd bond with her. Later, Samson raised the subject of adoption, reminding Amelia that she'd considered having an abortion.

"How many successful teen mums do you know?" Samson cruelly asked. "Before you know it, you'll drop out of college, be on baby two, three, and Noah, he'll be out of work again! That's class, that!"

Amelia was left doubting her decision-making, but boyfriend Noah Dingle reassured her that what baby Esther needs is her family — and he'd help by setting up a cot for the child in his own room.

Noah then went to confront his cousin Samson, leading to a heated clash between the two boys. Samson accused Noah of acting like "a knight in shining armour" when he didn't even care about her a few months ago.

"If anything, you're making things worse by being with Amelia," Samson insisted. "You're giving her false hope. You'll mess it up in the end!"

When Samson insisted all of this drama is none of Noah's business, his relative shot back: "Amelia and Esther are my business!"

"I want nowt to do with Amelia and nowt to do with that kid," Samson claimed.

After Noah stormed off, Samson sunk to a new low by making a secret call to family services to file a report of neglect for baby Esther.

"I think a baby is being neglected," Samson falsely reported.

Can Samson make this right?
