Emmerdale confirms aftermath of Cain's murder revelation

Emmerdale fans will see the aftermath of Cain Dingle's big new storyline twist next week.

The ITV soap has revealed that Cain is taking the blame for the death of Al Chapman in a desperate bid to protect his 10-year-old son Kyle.

Cain pleaded guilty to Al's murder after their high-stakes final showdown ended with the businessman being shot dead.

However, in the closing moments of Friday night's episode (November 4), Cain confided in his wife Moira about how Kyle was the person who pulled the trigger.

Emmerdale's executive producer Jane Hudson had previously teased that Al's death would spark a major new chapter for the Dingle family.

Speaking to Digital Spy and other media earlier this year, Hudson commented: "When we get to the end of October, it might be the end of our celebrations, but we will be ending that month with a storyline which kicks off another big story, which potentially sees one of our characters spending the rest of their life in jail.

"We are making sure that when our celebration month ends, it's really just the beginning of a whole new chapter, particularly for one of our families."
