Former Emmerdale star Max Parker has opened up on whether fans will see him again in the role of Luke Posner.

Parker debuted in the ITV soap in 2019 and left in June 2021, after his character's involvement in the death of his brother Lee (Kris Mochrie) was revealed.

In a new interview, Parker seems to have closed the door on a possible return — at least for the time being.

"I'm a person of once you've finished a chapter, you finish it," the actor told the Express.

"I love moving on to different things and the reason why I'm an actor is so that I can do different things all the time," he added. "So, at the minute, I don't think I would go back."

The two went out a few times before Victoria learned that Luke was her attacker's brother. Luke supported Victoria through the birth of his nephew, with the two of them getting closer and deciding to give their romance go.

In June 2021, Emmerdale aired Luke's exit storyline, revealing he had played a role in Lee's death and Victoria's brother Robert (Ryan Hawley) may have not been the sole person responsible for it (he is now serving time in prison).

After realising that Luke had been lying to her about messaging men on dating apps, Victoria broke up with him. The exes had an emotional confrontation, before Luke said goodbye to his mum and left the Dales.

In real life, Parker announced his engagement to Mochrie earlier this year.

Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV, and streams on the ITV Hub.
