Emmerdale fans have aired their frustrations over Harriet Finch's send-off in last night's (November 3) episode.

The deadly storm that blew through the village last month tragically claimed the lives of two characters, including Harriet.

The policewoman had crashed a quad bike while searching for local teen Amelia Spencer, and when lightning later struck the vehicle, she was killed.

Liv Dingle was also killed during the storm and was laid to rest in an emotional joint funeral with Faith Dingle, who had made the decision to take her own life.

Viewers had been expecting the same type of send-off for Harriet, but were unimpressed to learn the funeral wasn't even aired. While it did show everyone preparing to leave for it, and later some scenes at the wake, the ceremony wasn't shown at all.

Taking to Twitter, fans expressed their upset over the snub.

"So Harriet doesn’t even get an on screen funeral. They’ve really done that character a disservice. Do better," one viewer tweeted, while another added: "Why's poor Harriet's death and funeral been so overlooked? No one seems upset, poor Harriet."

A third wrote: "How come Liv and Faith got beautiful funerals with everyone there yet Harriet didn’t even get an on-screen funeral and she was on the show longer than Liv, can clearly tell the producers have favourites."

Speaking about her departure after nine years on the ITV soap, actress Katherine Dow Blyton said: "I will very much miss playing Harriet, although I won't miss wearing the police uniform!

"What I loved about coming into Emmerdale and what really made me want to play Harriet was because she was coming in as the vicar. I loved playing the vicar and the fact that she was flawed and she was a bit off-the-wall.

"She had a sense of humour, and I loved the character. I'll very much miss her, but she's with me obviously. We're not too dissimilar."

Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV, and streams on the ITV Hub.
