Emmerdale airs creepy scene for Kim and Harriet

Emmerdale has aired a creepy scene as Kim Tate used the bible to threaten Harriet Finch.

The two have been at odds again in the run-up to Kim and Will Taylor's wedding, as Harriet has grappled with still having romantic feelings for her former partner.

The latest conflict came about after Dawn left Home Farm following the feud between foster daughter Clemmie and Kim's granddaughter Millie.

Dawn felt as if Will was choosing Kim over his family, so their relationship has been frosty in recent weeks. However, Dawn has leaned on Harriet for support since they both despise Kim.

In Thursday's (September 29) double bill, Harriet backed up Dawn when she told her father she'd never be able to forgive Kim for the way she'd let down Clemmie.

Kim was not at all pleased when Will relayed the story, especially as he explained Harriet was convinced Dawn would never forgive her stepmum-to-be.

Going back to her villainous way in an oddly creepy scene, Kim quoted the bible as a reference to threatening vicar-turned-detective Harriet to stay out of her business.

"This one always stuck with me," she told Harriet before quoting: "'I pursued my enemies and overtook them, and did not turn back until they were consumed.

"'I thrust them through so that they were not able to rise, they fell under my feel. They cried for help but there was none to save. They cried to the Lord but he did not answer them. I beat them fine as dust before the wind. I cast them out, like the mire from the streets."

When Harriet pointed out that passage is actually about having God on your side, Kim snapped back: "Round here, I am God. You'd do well to remember that."

Emmerdale bosses have previously singled out this story as one to watch during the soap's upcoming 50th anniversary celebration.

"Everyone's involved. It would be easier to say who is not involved. There is Will's wedding, so anyone connected to Kim and Will has a major part to play," Jane Hudson explained to Digital Spy and other media.
