Emmerdale has had an explosive start to the week as Cain Dingle lashed out at local doctor Liam Cavanagh for knowing of his mother's cancer tonight (June 20).
Cain threw the resident doctor to the ground in the heat of the moment, but he was being irrational as Liam wouldn't be able to share details of Faith's illness and Cain began to retreat.
Chas has struggled to deal with hearing Faith's omission that her breast cancer had returned. However, this time it's incurable and Faith doesn't want to continue her chemotherapy because the "exertion" has taken it out of her.

She wants to stop the chemo because the cancer is in her bones and will only give her a couple of extra months, but as she added, "At what cost?"

Chas confronted a stoic Cain with the news that Faith wanted to stop her chemo. Knowing Cain is the only one their mum would listen to, she implored him to reach out.

Cain later lashed out at Liam after learning he also knew about Faith's cancer, even though Liam stated he couldn't say anything as it was "patient-doctor confidentiality".
"Some mate you are," Cain retorted before grabbing him, adding: "You're a joke."

"I was there for you when your kid died," Cain told Liam. "God knows you made a right meal of that, didn't you?" before throwing him to the ground.
