Emmerdale Michael Wildman on if Al will confess to cheating

Emmerdale's Al Chapman and Chas Dingle will share a kiss after bonding over a bottle of wine following some awful news.

Chas will be devastated at the news that her mother Faith is terminally ill with cancer, and after her husband, Paddy, makes a well-intentioned but poorly thought-out gesture, she turns to Al for comfort.

Obviously, Chas is with Paddy, but Al is also in a relationship with Kerry Wyatt. We don't know whether it's just a kiss or the start of a full-blown affair, but Al's actor Michael Wildman has told Digital Spy and other media outlets that his character isn't likely to tell Kerry regardless.

"I doubt very much he's going to come clean," he said. "I don't know. There's got to be a time when he will come clean with someone he's cheated on.

"At this moment in time he gets to a point where he's not getting something that he's looking for in the current relationship that he's in, and that's where he always goes wrong. At this moment in time that's where Chas comes along and offers him the kind of comfort and support he's not getting somewhere else. That's his biggest downfall."

He also teased that if Chas' brother, and Al's eternal nemesis, found out, Cain "[isn't] going to like it obviously, maybe this would lead him to actually act on one of his threats".

He also claims that Al's advice and support he offers to Chas is genuine, while Chas's actress Lucy Pargeter called the kiss "a glitch in the matrix", something that happens in the heat of the moment, so it looks like we won't be getting a potential affair.
