Emmerdale confirms sad split for Manpreet and Rishi Sharma

It looks like it's curtains for Manpreet and Rishi Sharma's marriage in next week's Emmerdale episodes.

In scenes beginning on Monday (October 11), soap lovers will see Manpreet return to the Yorkshire Dales following her Ibiza trip, where daughter Aiesha was involved in an accident.

However, she's left horrified by her welcome home as Rishi unveils a brand-new tattoo expressing his love for her.

Like a verbal knife straight through Rishi's heart, Manpreet sadly informs her husband that she no longer loves him.

Further down the line, a devastated Rishi is looking for someone to blame and unfairly accuses his wife's ex-fiancé Charles Anderson of stealing Manpreet from him.

In a happy relationship with Andrea Tate, Charles is left understandably stunned by this allegation, but things turn even more dramatic when the scheming Meena Jutla attempts to convince Manpreet to make a move on him.

It comes after Andrea actress Anna Nightingale – currently pregnant with her second child – recently teased some fast approaching twists and turns on screen before she takes maternity leave.

She said: "Obviously I can't give too much away but it's safe to say fans need to watch out, there's some explosive stuff coming up! There's going to be a lot of drama before I get to go off to have this little one. Watch this space, that's all I can say!"

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
