Emmerdale has lined up a revenge plot when Lydia Dingle is mugged.
Lydia (Karen Blick) has had a very difficult several weeks, after recently being arrested on trumped-up charges of allegedly running a fraud scheme.
Next week, she'll continue to wallow in the online abuse she's receiving when trolls still blame her even though Paul Ashdale had set her up in the pension scam before his death.

The village's hostile reaction ramps up to the point that a brick is thrown through the window! While Sam is intent on settling problems the Dingle way, Lydia insists on going to the police station alone to report harassment.

Lydia barely makes it out the door before she's mugged by two boys in a revenge crime for the scam. Samson sees the robbery happen, but doesn't getting involved because he recognises the lads.
Sam soon arrives on the scene, angry that Samson didn't protect Lydia from the robbers. Samson is trapped in the middle of Lydia and Sam in the aftermath.

Sam is intent on getting revenge, while Lydia remains insistent that violence isn't the way to solve their problems. Later, Samson agrees to take Lydia to the police station to file an official report over the harassment.
However, the boy also slips a crowbar into his school bag in order to get his revenge on Lydia's behalf.
Emmerdale airs these scenes on Monday, May 24 and Tuesday, May 25 at 7pm on ITV.
