Emmerdale has made a big change to Paddy Kirk's name in the soap's closing credits following his marriage to Chas Dingle, as he's now being credited as a member of the famous Dingle clan.
Emmerdale's emotional Christmas Day episode featured a romantic surprise festive wedding for Paddy (Dominic Brunt) and Chas (Lucy Pargeter), with Paddy having spent several days organising the special ceremony.
Things certainly didn't go entirely to plan thanks to Paddy forgetting to send invitations out and Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) threatening to cause a scene, while the entire thing was almost halted when oblivious Chas revealed that she thought Christmas Day weddings were a terrible idea.

Disappointed Paddy decided to call off the big day after hearing Chas's opinion but after she found out what had happened, Chas got dressed up and met Paddy in the church, marrying him in a sweet ceremony.

Following their wedding, Paddy and Chas reflected on the day while alone in the Woolpack and Paddy revealed that he was changing his surname to Chas', which would make him Paddy Dingle.
After Chas addressed him as "Mr Kirk", Paddy responded: "Oh! Dingle. It's Mr and Mrs Dingle", calling the name change his "final surprise".
Chas replied that the change was "perfect", saying: "I can't remember a time when you weren't part of the family."
Sure enough, the soap's closing titles are now crediting Paddy as Paddy Dingle, cementing his and Chas' marriage.
Actor Dominic Brunt acknowledged the change on Twitter, simply writing: "Paddy Dingle". His co-star Lucy Pargeter replied with several heart emojis, writing: "welcome to the family".
