Emmerdale spoilers follow.

Emmerdale's Mackenzie Boyd targets hapless Jimmy King tonight (December 18) as he spots an opportunity to get ahead.

Mackenzie (Lawrence Robb) faced a setback this week as Kim Tate returned from her long trip and warned that he was no longer welcome at Home Farm.

Kim's frosty attitude was bad news for Mackenzie, who has nowhere else to go unless he finally makes peace with his sister Moira Dingle.

In Friday's episode, Mackenzie considers his next move but gets an idea when he visits the café.

While Mackenzie is waiting for his breakfast, he witnesses tension between Kim (Claire King) and Jimmy King (Nick Miles).

Kim is annoyed over a late haulage delivery at the Hawksford Outdoor Pursuits centre and confronts Jimmy for letting her down.

With Jimmy too busy at the café to sort out the delivery anytime soon, Mackenzie quietly steals his keys when he's not looking.

Later, Jimmy panics when he discovers that his keys are gone and his van has disappeared too.

Jimmy is surprised when he realises that Mackenzie is responsible for his problems, while Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) is curious as she witnesses the confusion unfold.

Charity is determined to find out the reasons for Mackenzie's suspicious behaviour – and it may only be a matter of time before she starts playing her own role in it.

Emmerdale airs tonight at 7pm on ITV.
