Emmerdale spoilers follow.
Emmerdale's Paul Ashdale will turn violent again with son Vinny Dingle as part of a dark new storyline set to air at Christmas time.
Previously, Paul physically lashed out at Vinny in October, when he confronted his dad about his gambling addiction.
Paul, knowing Liv is aware of his gambling secret, recently witnessed her having a seizure that she wishes to keep a secret from her friends and family.
Then, in the run up to Christmas, Paul will see Liv set off on a driving lesson with her instructor and tell her that he doesn't think she should be driving, because she might have another seizure.
With Liv refusing to listen, Paul tells Aaron about her seizure, leaving Liv furious.

As Paul tries to leave, Liv takes revenge and reveals to Vinny that he's been secretly gambling again.
Paul makes up an excuse, pretending that the betting was only a one-off relapse but Vinny doesn't believe him.

Later, Vinny confronts Paul, and tells him to stop being weak and admit his addiction.
But, once again, his words trigger Paul, who retaliates with physical violence.
Will this be the final straw for Vinny and convince him to tell Mandy about his dad's gambling problem?
Emmerdale airs these scenes on Christmas Eve at 6.45pm on ITV.
