There's no better time in soapland than Christmas and even though it doesn't feel like it, the festive season is only three months away.
While all our soaps have suffered in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic, hopefully things will be back on track by the holidays.
And according to show boss Jane Hudson, Emmerdale is set to be can't-miss on December 25.
"Christmas Day, when Christmas Day is over and done with and you've opened all your presents, there's a massive present when Emmerdale comes on," Hudson told Digital Spy and other media.
"There's such a surprise box ready to be opened, I think all the viewers will be watching the screen with their hands over their face going, 'No, I did not see that coming!' I can't wait for the Christmas Day episode."
And before Christmas, there'll be three big new arrivals in the Dales with Moira Dingle, Aaron Dingle and Manpreet Sharma all in for a shock.

We already know Manpreet's sister Meena (Paige Sandhu) will turn up in the village and Billy's head from their very first meeting.
Also, Moira Dingle's brother Mackenzie (Lawrence Robb) will arrive and cause Moira to remember a dark secret from her past.
Finally, Our Girl star Simon Lennon has joined the cast as a figure from Aaron's past, and it turns out the duo have a lot of history.
Emmerdale airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7pm on ITV, and will return to six episodes a week from Monday (September 14).
