Former Emmerdale star Samantha Giles has suggested that Bernice Blackstock should have been killed off.
Back in November, Bernice said goodbye so that she could help care for her ex-husband Charlie in Australia.

Speaking to Inside Soap, Samantha said that she felt Bernice could have had a stronger exit storyline and that having her die might have achieved that.
"If she had been killed, perhaps I'd have got a better exit story as it was a little disappointing," she explained.
"I had quite a lot of people on Twitter saying that they felt a bit cheated by the way Bernice left, but it's done now. You can't please everyone!"

At the time her exit was aired, Samantha said that she appreciated the writers wanted to keep the door open for a potential return in the future.
"I said [to the producers] I don't mind what they did, because I think if you say that you're going, you can't then say, 'Oh, don't kill me, though'," she said. "So I wouldn't have minded if they had [killed me off].
"But they wanted to leave it open. So that's really nice that she's not dead."
Earlier this year, Samantha admitted that she "wouldn't have minded" if Bernice had exited in a body bag.
Emmerdale airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7pm on ITV.
