Emmerdale's Charley Webb has shared a sweet tribute post to her mum.

The Debbie Dingle actress posted a picture on Instagram of her mum fussing over her veil on her surprise wedding day and opened up about her family life.

"Everyone's Mum means the world to them because you only ever get one Mum," she wrote.

"I'm the baby of the family and that meant she always treated me like I'm about 5. Even now at 32.

"When I was 14 we lost my Dad very suddenly, he was so young and so was I. From that day, my Mum instantly became 2 parents.

"She had to take on both roles whilst also grieving the loss of her husband. I'll never forget how strong she was for us all.

"I started working 6 weeks after we lost him and she was there every step of the way, encouraging me to follow my dreams and be the best person I can be.

"She's always taught me to be kind and treat others the way you want to be treated. I wouldn't be the person I am today without her xxx."

Charley is married to her Emmerdale co-star Matthew Wolfenden, and they share three sons, Buster, Bowie and Ace.

However the pair haven't ruled out adding to their brood with another baby in the future.

"Who knows? Three at the moment is a lot, but I sort of think once you've got three you might as well have 20 because it's just chaos," she said. "My house is chaos, but good fun though."

The actress has been open about her family life in the past, admitting that parenting can often be difficult.

Previously sharing a picture of her three children, she wrote on Instagram: "I don't often manage to get a picture of all 3. It's my favourite one yet. I've found the jump from 2 to 3 huge and I don't mind saying it.

"I think sometimes people aren't honest enough about how full on it is. With one, two, three, four, however many you've got.

"It's ok to admit that being a Mum (or a Dad) is a really hard job. Harder than any other in my opinion."
